EasyBatch updated to 1.6.1

EasyBatch, the powerful multi-threaded batch photo app for Mac, has been updated to version 1.6.1. This update is free for registered users and contains several improvements, bug fixes, and a few small new features.

What’s new in v1.6.1?

  • Image list preview loading now works in background for faster item selection
  • Multicore processing preference button now disabled on single-core Macs
  • Photos with Orientation metadata now show a ‘Needs Autorotate’ icon when previewed
  • Improved speed of thumbnail redraw during window resizing
  • Fixed rare crash when using Text Watermark sheet key combos
  • New Padding setting for adding margins to text watermarks
  • New Max Cores/Threads preference for finer control over multithreaded batches
  • Added image list controls (check/uncheck) to standard menubar
  • Reduced memory use during image processing for improved efficiency
  • Fixed several memory leaks
  • Closing text watermark sheet now automatically closes color picker and font panel
  • Improved exception handling during several batch operations
  • Switched to Sparkle Framework for automatic updating
  • Improved crash reporter’s date checking for log files
  • Added reminder/warning for very low JPEG quality settings
